The dreaded Treadmill

I was on a threadmill yesterday at the hospital with all kinds of wires attached. This one tilts like you're walking uphill.

I used those at the gym I just joined Davey, they do get your heart pumping! Had a stress test once, similar to the one you had. I got it voluntarily, as I told the doctor that I was going to start running years ago, and he suggested I get one.

Well, left me scratchin' my head after that, because they said I was okay and normal, but I showed an irregular heartbeat. Supposed to be common with many people.

I was asthmatic as a child, now I'm told it is COPD, before that they told me it was CORD. This all leaves me ???????????

I know having asthma can do some damage to the lungs, COPD is serious, I'm sorry you've been diagnosed with this Ina. Never even heard of CORD.

Sea, Can people get over allergies? As a child, I was told to list sulfur drugs along with penicillin on my "do not take" list.

Ina, here is a list of common sulfur-containing foods, and that should help you to be able to tell if sulfur in it's natural form is something that you are allergic to, or if it is just the drugs containing the synthetic sulfur.
If you can't eat any of these foods, then you are probably allergic to natural sulfur; but if you can and do eat sulfur-rich foods, then there is a good chance that you could also use the tablets or powder form as well.
This article also talks just a little about MSM, since it is a natural sulfur; and it explains how it can help you.

As has been stressed, checking with your doctor is always the safest thing to do; but this should at least give you a better idea about whether you can use natural sulfur or not.

I have a treadmill that I use regularly when the weather is bad. When it is nice I prefer to jog/run outside with the trusty iPod. Did three miles today listening to mostly 70's music. I don't even ache...at the moment.

HFL, Thank you, I can eat most of those foods, so it sounds like the culprit could be synthetic sulfur drugs. But, I'll definitely be asking my Dr. I'll never know till I ask.:thanks:
