The question is: How will Brits react to Megxit? There is a backlash, to some degree (can't tell yet how much) because they are going to go 'in and out of their royal duties' as they "please". That is an issue because they still take public money, and there is a reaction to them essentially getting paid to only work when it suits them.
The story will continue to unfold and the reactions will continue to grow.....More drama than a soaper......
 
I read the part about funding. What I cared to understand about it was interesting. They will not be taking public money it seems

As an American I really like the idea but really don't have much of a clue how well this news will be received by the UK. I don't think the couple will have any trouble severing their financial ties of receiving tax-payer monies.

I think that before they even married, people were predicting that Meghan would soon tire of her new role and want to return to acting.
Why has becoming a mother been a struggle? She makes a point of being seen publicly with the baby, but she will have nannies standing by ready to take him as soon as she is away from the cameras.
Good riddance, I say. Better to give it all up than continue to display how tedious it all is!
 
This is what poster "Mark'' said on Yahoo regarding an emergency meeting on Monday with the Queen, Charles, Harry, and Meghan only by phone.

"Per a dear friend, who lives in London, All of Great Britain is very upset with Harry. They love the Queen and feel he’s acted with malice towards the Queen. Also, they’re upset because Harry has no regards in their announcement, as they knew it was Kate’s birthday. Meghan, at this time, could not even show her face in the U.K. They felt Meghan used the Royals and after this, the Brits do not want her to set foot in Great Britain "

Harry has always done his own thing. I don't think they are "full of themselves" at all. For some reason I get Google news feeds about the royal family and from what I've read I get the feeling Harry and Megan want to come down from "the ivory tower" and identify more with the people. What he is doing with his wife is not as shameful as what his father did to his mother with that Camilla Parker Bowles woman! His father followed his heart right into adultery, so publicly too! And he could become king!

And to the OP Ronni...I just came across that site the other day. I never thought about them having a website but then I thought why not. Every other entity does.
 
The couples personal wealth is estimated from between $35-45 million, so there won't be a need to pawn the family tiaras. But it does sound as though there is quite a tiff going on in the royal family. It just maybe some don't love being called, "Your Royal Highness", when the burden isn't worth the price.
 
The queen (big, bad mommy) has been known to set things right.
It is all very blurry to me, follow three of the sites, then quit.
Brits like it, don' t have another institution to replace it.

Their business, the royals visit foreign countries to show the flag: US builds military base.
