The dumbest thing you have ever bought...

What have you bought in the past and afterward thought, "Why the heck did I buy that stupid thing?" Maybe you got rid of it or perhaps it's still hanging around, a thorn in your side.

Mine was a waffle iron. I just HAD to have one and I think I've used it twice in the last 15 years. It's out in the garage *somewhere*.

Don't even ask me about exercise equipment I've bought and didn't use. The rowing machine was the worst.....

The huge 3 piece living room set, which I bought when I moved into my house in 2016.
I realized it was such a waste of money, when I sold it this past summer…..and…..brought up my futon couches from downstairs…..they are so much more comfortable for me…..why didn’t I do that in the first place.🤔.

Oh man, that is one tough question to answer!

Drugs and booze for sure, but thankfully that was a short period of my early life.

Most recently I purchased what's called a gravel bike, kind of looks like a road bicycle but a bit more versatile. As a long time cyclist I thought it would be a good addition to my fleet.

I kind of cheaped out compared to what I usually spend on bikes and ended up hating the bike, sold it after one season. Paid about $1,400, added some accesories, then sold the entire package for $750.

So that was a dumb buy.

Have another……
2017…..bought a riding mower for here in town……bought it new……from a dealership…..didn’t have any in stock….bought from a pic.
Really BIG mistake.
I said I wanted the smallest one there was, with little wheels, etc.
I had a John Deere one at the farm……small front wheels…..low to the ground, because the motor was at the back of the mower…..my perfect mower.
Said I was going to bring it to town for my yard, after all, before I ordered the one I did.
But…….
X said it wasn’t working well……B. S. !!!!!!!……used it for his place in town.
Why didn’t I order one like the John Deere……because……weren’t making that one anymore. 🙁☹️🙁☹️🙁.
The one I ordered was TOO BIG…..was high off the ground…..motor was under the seat, so you were sitting up in the sky…..hated where the gear shifts were…..couldn’t make tight turns, because it was too big.
Sold it to my neighbour the next year…..then bought walking mower with self driven front wheels.

A Sleep Number bed; not worth what it cost at all.
thanks for filling me in. was wondering how that product panned out. found a discarded queen size foundation and repurposed it as a task "barge" for geoengineering projects. i wonder how many people don't realize that they may have a seaworthy rescue craft beneath them while they're sleeping? knowing this could save a few lives.

pictured is an inverted queen size sleep number bed foundation with a resale lifeboard yoga platform (optional) and the sinch straps to tie it all together. don't mind the modular carbon aleutian war paddle... it's custom.
