I moved from portland or to jaxsonville fl in 2000 to be with a lady I met in an online chat room. she was a couple years older.she talked the good talk and I soon learned it was just that. I painted, rebuilt a jacuzzi, mowed and planted flowers, fixed locks, fixed windows, even at her mothers. she had major heart surgery, was type one diabetic, had an overbearing mother and made me pay rent. Both were retired school teachers. We had three cats and their names all started with an M in alphabetical order marshmellow, meeroo and missy. After three years she tossed me out and told me to take marshmellow or she was going to do him in. I kept a distance touch with her, one son died, my brother died, etc. the cat died. And now after twenty two years she has passed on. I am not in her will and don't expect to be nor do I want anything. regrets.. boy this would be the biggest!

My word. I'm so sorry you got duped. Yes people can put on the act.

I'm not one for the word closer but I hope something has been helped with her being gone now. And I hope you were able to find something good after that nightmare.

You could think of it as a learning curve rather than a regret, and thank your lucky stars it didn't last longer than 3 years... Hope you found someone nicer later on..

Wow, what a thing to do through. I hope you have been able to move on.

for purwell...she said he reminded her of me and she had done that to a cat from a previous companion

A few months after my wife died, I thought about checking out online dating, but I wasn’t ready to jump back into meeting new women. A girl in my high school class lost her husband to cancer and she called me and after talking for maybe 10 minutes, she suggested maybe we should meet for drinks. If she didn’t change too much from our high school days, she may be ok. I asked if I could call her maybe in a few months and she said sure, no rush. Last I knew, she was a nurse practitioner at a women’s health clinic.
