Change can be scary. Were one to take into account the economic and military
strengths of the UK, which shows the UK to be one of the strongest and most
stable nations in the EU, an isolated UK would be to the detriment of the
economical health and security of eastern Europe. With the scare tactics aside,
you are going to see a new world of cooperation and prosperity within the EU.
Why do I say this?? The UK was never 100 % into the EU, so the transition is
going to be relatively inexpensive as far as adapting a new currency, the UK
never relinquished the GBP, this being one of the reasons stated for the
reluctance of Germany's leaving. Sweden and Denmark also have not altered their
original currencies, thus also having no such conversion, added to the prospects
of new market opportunities available to be negotiated free of the EU, as well
new treaties with old markets, well, lets say it can lead to a more prosperous
future. The EU seeing the success of the UK along with the possible defection of
other members, will be encouraged to negotiate change of policies with remaining
members to head off mass exodus.
