The family that lives with wild animals. Good idea or not?

Over the years there have been many stories in the news of people being injured, mauled and killed by the exotic pets people own.
Exotic pets are more unpredictable and harder to control. They are living under unnatural conditions.
It's ill-advised for adults to take these animals out of their natural habitat and keep them as house pets.
I think it's cruel to these animals.
I think the adults decision to do this is a selfish one. Probably notoriety, publicity, and maybe a sense of power over such majestic creatures.
To go ahead and involve children in this lifestyle is highly irresponsible and quite dangerous.
I am just sorry Child Services doesn't get involved and remove the children from the home. They should!

You're absolutely right Lois. Well said!

I think it's animal cruelty to take wild animals out of their natural habitats and force them to live in cages, homes, apartments, etc. People can be so selfish, and when one of them gets killed by one of these animals, I have no sympathy...it serves them right. The horribly sad thing, is that the animal is always killed afterwards for the act, that is so unfair to these beautiful victims of man.

I just got to watch the video, and I'm not happy with the way those animals are being treated. Notice how the tiger is always on a leash....how unnatural is that?!

And I did notice more than once when the tiger made a slight move and growling sound, the man was quick to scold and start to strike the animal. It looked like he held back due to the video camera on him.

That tiger was not being aggressive, he was doing something very normal, but was being scolded for it. My dog is very vocal with talking and being growly, since he was a pup. He is in no way being aggressive, he can just yawn and make a growly sound. I can't imagine jumping bad with him whenever he does natural animal behavior...but then again, I'm not scared to death of him like these people are. They act like they're not, but that's not what I'm seeing...with that guy in particular, I believe it's a macho thing.

Honestly, if I had my druthers, I'd like to see them do away with all circuses, zoos and personal ownership of any wild animals.

The whole damn thing is unnatural and to me just an example of man trying to arrogantly impose his will over wild things yet again.

Personally I refuse to go to zoos. Remember this one?
