The fickle nature of weather

Yesterday I was sitting at the edge on the Mandurah Estuary. The water was like a pane of glass.
Not a zephyr raising a ripple.
Today the water is agitated, nay, roiling.

Strong westerly winds are bringing in the dark storm clouds.

No meaningful rain has fallen for months. 15mm - 1/2" is forecast.
Sitting on the edge of the Indian Ocean, being buffeted by a most cool wind.
The end of autumn is nigh with winter awaiting it's turn.
Western Australia rarely receives the rain we desperately need.
That is why another desalination plant is about to be built. Supplementing the two already operating.
Oh, a feel a drop of rain...and another...

Over here Bretrick in Sydney, we have been inundated with high winds and never-ending rain. Flooding impacts the North Coast of New South Wales and much of the State's Southern and South-Central interior remains bone dry.
The east coast is getting hammered by so much rain over the preceding 6 months.
1 drowning death yesterday. :(
Let's hope these deluges do not become the norm going forward.

Kadee - What terrible news I woke up to this morning. A 4th body, a man in his 70s, has been found in his car. I'm lucky where I live, which is in the western suburbs of Sydney, but the Parramatta River which is about 4klms from my house has broken its banks and a wharf has been swept away. We are on high ground and are safe. Hope all has settled down when you come back.
