Chillicothe was Ohio's 1st Capital, now it is Columbus.I'm British, but I could name at least 2/3rd of the United States and their capitals...
I bet most Non Brits couldn't do the same for the UK
we weren't taught it at school.. wasn't necessary for us to know it... but I learned them myself as an adult...We had to know every capital when I was in school. I wonder if that still applies........ Some how I don't think so. Some kids probably don't even recognize the map.
Where do you live in Ohio? I lived in Mentor and Akron for awhile when I got my first pilot job with Air Wisconsin. AW flew in and out of Akron at the time, but they dropped Cleveland because the gate cost too much, so they went to the Akron-Canton Airport. We flew under the moniker of āUnited Express.ā I really enjoyed my time with AW and living in Akron in Manchester. Great people. I got a lot of experience flying in snow.Chillicothe was Ohio's 1st Capital, now it is Columbus.
