The flu this season?

I am curious just how bad can this flu season be considering the precautions we all are taking with Covid-19. If we are taking these precautions, wearing a mask, social distancing, using hand sanitizer, disinfecting everything, not touching our faces and washing our hands how would we catch the flu? 🤔

How Does Flu Spread?,
The flu is contagious—that means it spreads from person to person, often through the air. You can pass on the infection before you feel sick. You are contagious for several days after you get sick. You can catch the flu when someone near you coughs or sneezes. Or, if you touch something the virus is on, like Ellen and Jack's phone or doorknob, and then touch your nose or mouth, you could catch the flu. The flu virus can live on a surface like a book or doorknob for a number of hours. Remember to wash your hands often when you are around someone who is sick. Make a point of washing them before eating or touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. If you can, stay away from sick people. That will help stop the flu from spreading.

Rather amusing - "Stay away from sick people."
But....."You can pass on the infection before you feel sick."
So.....if people who aren't sick can spread it, how do we know who to stay away from?

I haven't gotten a flu shot in over 10 years and have had one mild case because my BIL had it over the holidays. Started on elderberry extract, zinc, extra C and it was very mild. I always clean my shopping carts, wash my hands frequently and use hand sanitizer so that cuts down on a lot on colds and flu. The two worst cases of flu I've ever had were years I got the shot.
