Very touching and it adds in healing. Nice to see a human in relationship with a patch of nature where its own spirit truly gets to show.

Thanks for the pictures! Having lived in the forest like you for so many years, there is art in every scene in our lives. Nature no matter how raw, and stark, has a beauty that only it can convey, we are so lucky to be able to witness it.

Watching the Swedish rewilding video where the woman makes figurines from found sticks made me think of your picnic tables for chipmunks. Something about spending idle time in nature does seem to quicken creative impulses. Of course not all your time spent at the cabin was idle time as your many cabins and ability to survive out there testify to. But by making it possible for you and your wife to live there at times you earned some wonderful idle time.

When we bought the parcel, back in '99, we committed to designing and building a cabin that would blend in and fit the natural surroundings'
I always loved the A frame design

So
We built one
It didn't seem to hurt the surroundings





And, as hoped, it shed the snow
Possible six feet of it in any given winter

Maybe 2 out of a million actually love to live the Nature B.S.
The rest of it is total crap. Uncomfortable always, at natures risk, of course.
See, total ****! The rest of nature is total hell. Want to enjoy misery?
Well just enjoy the spring floods too. Look at a beautiful winter scene and
realize the complications one has to endure to go to the Doc or Wal-Mart.

AC the Earth at 78F. tops summer and 55 F. lows winter. yea beautiful.

You want snow order it have a couple semi's blown on your place around dinner time.
Ya want a Tornado have a bulldozer stop buy. Ya want a spring flood have the city open
the fire hydrant and drown your ***.

I gave much effort to the interior of the cabin, to keep in tune with nature
many a time, while dining in the breakfast nook, a deer would stroll by the window
