Has anybody else seen this Netflix documentary? I'm about halfway through it. It's a "streaming" show for Netflix subscribers, absolutely horrifying.

It covers in detail a scandal that took place in a Catholic high school in Maryland back in the 70's. Many girls were sexually abused by two priests and apparently another man (just introduced to the story in the episode I'm up to). The kids were too afraid to tell anyone or bring any charges, and most of them were living in a strictly religious, authoritarian environment where you were expected to be obedient and keep your mouth shut.

Years later, two of the girls brought suit; it was thrown out by the courts because of the statute of limitations. There will be more to the story, of course.

But it gets even worse. In addition to the molestations, a very popular nun was murdered, apparently by the priests, because she was about to expose them.

Does anyone else remember this case? I don't, but it's obviously true; the documentary is full of newspaper clippings of that time, etc.

I don't remember it, either. I wonder if it got much publicity at the time, especially outside its local area. It's on my list to watch, but I haven't gotten there yet. I'm still finishing up "Criminal Minds" season 12.
