My son is an LA fire fighter as most of you know, and was recently promoted to Captain.
His station has been fighting the Getty fires. I’ve been anxiously waiting for his quick texts to tell me he’s ok, which he thoughtfully manages to send me when he knows I’m worried.
His station and several others were released after 20 straight hours of fighting fire, though they will probably be deployed again if the fires aren’t gotten under control very soon.
He’s exhausted, but glad to see his family and to recharge a bit before being deployed again.
God bless him and his brothers and keep them safe.
