The Lord is my Shepherd

I'm glad I don't have any religious beliefs. I'm prepared to accept that 2000 odd years ago, there was an itinerant preacher known as Jesus, but that's as far as it goes. In recent years, in the UK, religious belief and church attendance has shown a steady decline leading, as some predict, to the demise of religion altogether.
that's absolutely true.. the only ''churches'' which seem to have a congregation in the Uk are muslims..jewish.. and to a lesser extent Baptists... all other churches basically sit empty ...

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. --Matthew 5-8

Don't kick it out the backdoor until its really dead [and I didn't say nearly dead!] If we are looking for advice about us becoming a better person and helping our own community in a better way - where do we look for advice - sure there may be a few new socios and psychos that are writing some but the bible has them all. have a look through this page

bible quote 'the bible is good for reading and healing etc - Bing

I miss you Ohioboy. Thank you for your friendship. You never judged others. You never judged me. You were a friend to all.
I'll never forget you for that.

Thinking of you...rest now and I pray that your doctors, nurses, and caregivers will know how to make you comfortable.

@ohioboy Thinking of you.
Psalm 23 is a comfort to me, too.

What about the happy clappy mob don't they fill venues?
There's a guy with a big church. He used to be a ballet danser. Really sweet guy. He preached in Holland years ago. I was in the hall, depressed and he saw me and cheared me up and prayed for me. He was from Kensington Temple. Had to Google his name. Colin Dye. And Ken Gott was always fun. He preached on conferences in Holland. He had a quite big church in Sunderland.
