The M72 light anti armor weapon

Is this the same munitions development that I saw on the news that shows effectiveness taking down drones? I looked like a modern day souped up 50 call outfitted with space age sites and a unique explosive type ammunition. Big advantage was its portability and cost at a fraction of anti-drone rocket missiles. The super high tech war equipment we are hearing about today sound like Space wars compared to our M-16 and single shot artillery.
