The Meals on Wheels Program

A neighbor gets those and I called just to inquire once. The person on the other end was so rude and disrespectful I never called back and that was a few years ago.

Thanks for the link!

I checked my zip code and it brought up nine programs that serve this general area.

It’s a great program but it can be a bit pricey for some.

In this area the cost is around $10.00/day for a hot meal and a cold meal delivered five days a week.

Grants are available based on income but there is sometimes a waiting list.

It was good for my mother because she lived in a rural location without access to grocery delivery.

I’m fortunate to live in a small city with a variety of delivery services that provide a wider range of options.

Very inexpensive where I live: Each participant makes a confidential contribution. The suggested contribution is $3.00 per meal and may be made with cash, personal check or food stamp voucher. All contributions are greatly appreciated and are used to directly support the program. No one will be denied a meal for inability or unwillingness to pay.
