The moon could be 40 million years older than we thought.

  • How do we know? Scientists carried out an atom-by-atom analysis of ancient crystals embedded in rocks brought back from the moon by Apollo astronauts in 1972.
  • What it means: The 4.46 billion-year-old crystals complicate the timeline of when a Mars-size object crashed into the Earth, ejecting hot debris that formed into our moon.
That is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back there. For me it is inconceivable. We live maybe 80 years. It is less than the blink of an eye. But, I feel like it is the right life span for humans. Just think of what Earth will be like a billion years from now....inconceivable.

about. I can picture kids in the future finding books written by our generation and busting their guts in laughter. Lol šŸ˜†
 
The Earth's huge moon for such a relatively small planet is considered very unlikely by those astronomers that computer simulate star solar systems.
  • Also is odd that it collided with the Earth at a critical glancing angle that allowed the heavy metal core to be captured by the Earth that then sank to the Earth's center, greatly adding to its iron mass that provides more magnetic shielding from dangerous to organic life solar wind particles. That is what cause auroras. The rest of that moon's lighter materials went into orbit that after time coalesced into our moon that lacks a heavy metal core.
  • The large moon helps stabilize the Earth's tilt to just a few degrees that if not there would vary hugely over time putting the tropics at the poles every few million years, greatly affecting life species developments. Without our Earth's axis tilt we would not have our 4 seasons.
  • Without the moon, Earth would not have daily varying ocean tides that greatly enhances ocean near shore life where it is always most abundant and diverse.
  • Just by coincidence when the first intelligent species with science, we homo sapiens, has risen on the planet, our moon at its current distance is often a perfect fit to barely block the sun during solar eclipses, a spectacular visual experience.
  • Some Earth life with night eyesight also benefits from the changing nightly moonlight.
All the above is evidence of possible organic planet building of a planet in the goldilocks liquid water zone by an ancient race of Ultimate Intelligent Entities. UIEs may have also used direct panspermia to kick start our organic DNA life that began almost immediately after oceans cooled, another science mystery. Then after 2.5 billion years that simple life as blue algae with photosynthesis, slowly changed our atmosphere into a blue oxygen atmosphere only then allowing for higher animal life. The UIE's might then have sent down all the weird creatures of the Cambrian Explosion that science still finds incredible and unexpected.

Thus my suggestion, Earth is a galactic zoo. And if so despite trying to avoid direct contact with we inconsiderate warmongering Earth monkeys, may at some point need to step in that won't be pleasant.
