Chic:
So you got a bad flu AFTER the vax? I rarely catch the flu so I don't get a flu shot though other members of my family do. I'm doing okay with building a healthy immune system. This works for me.
Perhaps I'm confused about how natural immunity works. Certain viruses are sort of "one and done". Once you've been infected, your immune system seems to remember that virus, and you will not be infected again. Examples would be measles, mumps, rubella, and chicken pox. This would be natural immunity.
In many of these cases, vaccines are available that expose your immune system to, for lack of a better description, a dormant version of the virus, and your immune system then protects you as though you had been exposed to the "live" virus. I can understand trying the natural immunity system for non-lethal viruses, but Covid has proven to be lethal for many. Millions have perished, and there's a fairly weak explanation as to why some perish and others have minimal symptoms.
So, when you mention that you're building a healthy immune system, how does that work? For instance, did you build a natural immunity to smallpox or did you get vaccinated? How about polio? Did you somehow build an immunity to polio, or did you get vaccinated? How do you determine which vaccines are beneficial and which are unnecessary?
I apologize in advance if this note sounds cynical or sarcastic; it's not meant to be. I'm genuinely curious concerning your system of building a healthy immune system to ward off deadly viruses without vaccines.
