The Mysterious Death of Joy Adamson

Famous for her love of lions and her story "Born Free",
she was killed in 1980 in her 70th year, somebody was
tried and jailed for her murder.

Years later her husband George, was also murdered in the bush.

I understood that she was murdered by one of her African workers. She was a difficult person to get on with, so it's not surprising.

convicted and jailed for her killing, but there was some reluctance
about it, the man I believe had been in her employ for many years.

That's one of the problems of living out in the bush.....the outside world knows nothing of what's going on. Remember that poor girl Julie something, who was murdered in one of the game parks? If her father hadn't been so tenacious and conducted his own investigation, her death would have remained a mystery.
