I like seeing the fashions....both gorgeous and ridiculous. I usually record it so I can fast-forward through the acceptance speeches.

Nope. I do not watch any award shows. Awards do not determine what movies/TV I will watch, or music I will listen to. I find that I rarely have any interest in seeing the movies, and if I do watch, it is because it is a movie I am interested in seeing , not because it is up for an award

I'll record the show and buzz through what I'm not interested in, which probably will be most of it. I haven't seen any new movies for awhile. Eventually I probably will get one from our library if I think it will be good but by then I will have forgotten if it won an award or not.

No. The movies nominated I have never seen because they are all on special networks like Netflix. I can't stand the idol worshiping of the actors that plea for aid for the poor as they strut the aisles in their $50,000 gowns and clad with diamonds. Most will end up penniless or in nut houses.

My last visit to a theater was 1999, watched The Sixth Sense. Only reason I went was a co-worker insisted that it was a "must see" movie.
Most of the 'movie stars' that I am familiar with are in their 70s-80s, and not doing much acting these days.
I call it "The Society for Self Admiration"

I watched a bit here and there. I watched other shows and went back and forth. I would like to see "A Night in Miami" as I always loved Sam Cook's music. I will rent it though as I am not ever going to a movie theater again due to the virus. It will take a long time for it to be on dvd but thats okay.

I didn't watch but was happy to learn Anthony Hopkins won Best Actor for'The Father'
He is one of my favorite actors,is now the oldest actor to win age 83
In '91,he won his 1st Best Actor Oscar for his role of'Hannibal Lecter' in "Silence of the Lambs'
