We aren’t growing any squash this year. The biggest vegetable we are growing is zuchinni.
Next year we are planning on growing some squash though. We’d love to make some squash soups. Next year we won’t grow 37 tomatoes plants. The reason we ended up with so many was due to the sowing instructions. It said to plant 3 seeds per pod. The reason was that one out of three seeds would survive but we had them ALL survive. Next year we’ll only plant one or two seeds per pod.

Holy crows! That's a big garden. And it's beautiful too.
Hey, I just read somewhere (on Reddit) that used coffee grounds are good for blueberry bushes. I know you have several and are adept at this. What do you think?

Thanks Medusa. We usually throw our coffee grounds into our kitchen compost but we can and will start using them in our blueberry garden. Thanks for the tip. One thing we DO have is compost. We got almost 2 tons of it for about $80.

Yes, they're supposed to improve the soil acidity, among other things. I'm going to try and remember to do this with my grounds. We have a single use coffee machine, so the grounds from my one big mug of coffee should be perfect for our single bush. :)

Your blueberry plant looks REALLY healthy too. I can’t wait to see it next year. Apparently the leaves turn a beautiful pink / red colour in the fall.
 
We to , have a coffee machine ( only purchased in August ) we add coffee beans in it and it grinds them up ….so hubs puts it in an ice cream container and empties into garden .. ( hubs partially likes the Aldi brand )

I had a blueberry but killed it by planting it in the garden ..it was fine in a pot ..except for the birds snacking in them

Nice machine Kadee. I love the cup little pink cup. Are they for expresso coffee?
 
We have morning smoko ( morning tea) each morning at 10 am or there about , depends on what we have planned

to be quite honest ,I’ve never used the machine ,hubs makes our cuppa chinos……Yes …..it has different choices …like tiny cup / full large cup ….strong / weak / heats and froths milk ( see top row ) of what you want

That container to heat / froth / spit out milk into cup ~ is in the fridge…it attaches to machine near that barcode

The little pink cup is to catch drips :):) we use a double layered glass cup ..( in picture )the drink looks quite nice in the layered cup …I’ll take a photo,tomorrow of my cuppa, with chocolate sprinkles on top of course :):):)

This one's ours. (Well, a picture of the model that we have, not our actual machine. If I did that, I'd probably obsess over every speck on the counter... ooof :rolleyes:)

We mostly use grounds, but it takes pods as well and I do, occasionally, have a pod coffee.

@PeppermintPatty, I actually remembered this morning and put my grounds in the blueberry bush's soil. :) Now that they've cooled, I need to spread them around. I should look up how frequently this should be done.

That’s a nice coffee maker. Does it make cappuccino coffee too? Ours doesn’t. Ours just makes regular coffee but it’s really good coffee. My husband would be lost without a coffee machine. He has 2 to 3 coffees a day, where I have 0 to 1 cups per day.

That one looks really nice too. Keurig is a big name in coffee.

Ours has a foamer (just a little coil thingy that spins) so I suppose I could construct a cappuccino, but at that point I'd probably just use a pod.

I'm with your husband; must have my coffee. I actually gave it up for eight months about 16 years ago, to see if the quality of my life improved. It didn't. I want to be buried in coffee beans.
 
The reason we got ours ,was ….where we stayed in QLD over winter 🥶….in July …the rental apartment had one almost the same …. an older model …and hubs likes the coffee it made ….we already had a small pod / capsule one the same brand ..( I didn’t like the pod one at all, coffee tasted bitter ) it’s sitting in a box in my sewing room if anyone wants it :):)

I see you have a lot of tomatos. Will you be making tomato butter?

Im curious. Why are the shelves so far apart?

The shelves were here when we bought the house. We are making tomato sauce, goo lash sauce, tomato chutney. Spagetti sauce.

It is a lot of work for sure.
