I could be wrong...but I do believe if Charles had been given just 2 years to live we would have already seen massive changes going on wthin the RF.. no-one would be expecting William to take on the Kingship so quickly, and especially with a wife who has serious health issues herself... so we would have by now seen many of the RF who Charles cut out of the main group when he became king due to cost.....reappearing and starting to work again...to be able to support Charles and William in readiness...

IMO anyway...
 

If I may go out on a very hypothetical limb here... I have a question. It's a "what if" question and I hate those, but here goes. What if this is actually true and the King is sicker than the public knows... and then what if it's William's turn but he abdicates because of Catherine's illness or something else. George and the other children aren't 18 yet, so after them in line is...... yeah, HARRY. Could/would that actually be a possibility? And if that wouldn't happen by refusal, after Harry's kids (also under 18) would come Andrew... which is about as good of a choice as Harry. What the heck would they do?! Jump down to Beatrice?!

yes Anne would in theory be the next in line in your scenario kate ..as New Banksy says ...but in reality Harry is the next in succession, I can't see Anne accepting the role of Queen ... so this would all become a horrible nightmare for everyone...
 
With the great strides being made daily in the medical field, I am surprised to read that Charles has 2 years to live. Who makes these decisions? Any doctor worth his degree should know better. This is really jumping to conclusions to say the least.

As for making plans for the King's funeral. Well, all the monarchies do this in readiness of something unforeseen happening to the monarch. Just something else for the media to get the hoi polloi all worked up.

yes but that's the point Lois... they are not making any changes to the monarchy that we can see or our media is reporting, so this supposed 2 year diagnosis that was read in a celebrity magazine.. can probably be taken with a pinch of salt..

I agree, Holly. Catherine is receiving heavy doses of her chemo. Saw that when she addressed the public. Even lay people couldn't miss that. She needs to rest between. That is very important. I know what my daughter-in-law went through.

This thread began talking about the princess, but somehow a MAN has upstaged her!

She's got three little children. I'm far more concerned about Kate than this guy. Sorry. I hope her treatments are successful.

a man has upstaged her ?...This man is the KING !!!.... he has cancer...the Princess of Wales does not have cancer....

Yet when it's so precise and there would have been a lot of medical people who know things, it makes you wonder... there's usually some truth to things that leak. It's all so very sad. :(

If it wasn't said in a statement by the palace, it is untrue. It's well documented that Russian bots are perpetuating a lot of misinformation in regards to the Royal Family's health problems. Clicking on, reading, sharing and posting these links doesn't help and frankly, it's disrespectful.

Amazing that so many people who are so invested in news media that they're blind to the effects. They race to line up to howl like wolves outside of someone else's door. In the worst time of your life, would you want everyone on earth sharing lies about you and your family?

That was unbelievable what Russia did. This one surprised me coming from Yahoo News. Maybe they'll do a retraction on it, but it's still strange. I used to think they were reputable, but this has me questioning that.

In truth I have always thought Yahoo was a dodgy website . ...from many years ago, which is why I never use it.. nor do I click on links that lead to it...
