Today is the final day of the 4 day Jubilee celebrations ..in pictures and stories...please feel free to add your own comments or pictures..but be nice ... this is probably the only time that all of us will witness a Platinum Jubilee by any Monarch, much less the most famous in the world..

The Queen made her appearance on the first day of the celebrations at Buckingham Palace where she was delighted to see the millions of people who turned out to wish her well, and thank her for 70 years faithful service, and to take the official flypast of the Red Arrows... but since then she's been unable due to mobility issues to leave her home at Windsor Castle 20 miles from Buckingham Palace, so she has watched on TV like many of us ( I too live 20 miles away)... and enjoyed the street parties, the concerts, the extravaganzas, the military parades.. and at 96 years old I think we can allow her to do that...

All of the Royal family were in attendance including the youngest children and the elder members.. except Prince Andrew who was barred from appearing due to public feeling....Long Live the Queen

How I love that comment. Sorry I have no photos, but my wife and I have had a very full weekend, including the Thursday and Friday public holidays. The reason why, but be nice, resonates is because I have always been of a republican aspiration, whilst my wife is a committed royalist. We don't fall out over it and I do agree about the Queen's commitment. Had Princess Margaret been first born, her louche lifestyle would have probably turned many away from a monarchy, but fate was kind to the monarchists and gave them a dedicated, hardworking and devoted women in Elizabeth.............rats!
