How Elon Musk Got Rich: The $230 Billion Myth


Elon Musk spent decades building something big: himself. Musk managed to sell the world on a persona: the visionary genius billionaire working his hardest to save the the world. And it’s worked: the myth of Elon Musk has made him a lot of money.

But what did it cost to get him there? And what does it mean that the richest man in the world build that wealth purely on an image of himself?

We took a deep look into Musk’s entire career: court documents, SEC filings, and interviews to break down the story Elon tells about himself and how he leveraged it to accumulate wealth and power.
 

The film is way too fast for me and the music is way too loud and way too annoying. I gave up. I think it's a film for the younger generation; the very younger generation. Too bad because the topic is good but the presentation really "sucks."
 
This thread of hatred and jealousy can only radiate discord and disharmony into the surroundings.
The entire atmosphere is strained which vibrates tension in the entire world.
This is the cause of all suffering, both in the mental and physical body and in the world.
Feeling hate, feeling jealousy are the meanest things you can do to yourself!
It works in ways against the evolution of the soul. It rebounds to you.
Can you post the joy and love inside you instead of the hate?
 
It’s believed that both Elon and Gates have Asperger’s which may explain their trouble interacting socially. Never the less both have contributed immensely to their technical fields and our economies. SpaceX, StarLink, Tesla and Microsoft are leaders in their fields.

Before we go trashing these guys maybe you should read up on their accomplishments. It doesn't give them the right to act like idiots or behave badly. I totally hate the twitter thing and the path Windows has taken, but, we have been better off with them than without.
 
I am reminded of Teddy Roosevelt's talk about the man in the arena and I challenge Musk's critics to be one-tenth as successful as he is. They accomplish little of value. Rather they end up tearing down those who try to do more and better. In that they only demean themselves further.

He was talking directly to Cesare Borgia, not Elon Musk. Big difference.

I'm not one to either worship or revile such high profile figures. Most prove to be a flash in the pan, getting their 15 minutes of fame before they drop from public view. Musk is a technology investor, part of maximizing profits is keeping the Public's attention. Time will tell what those technologies will benefit.
 
Musk knows how to get things done, I'll give him that. But like Bill Gates, he takes other people's ideas and gets rich off them.

I see this differently. He is hiring these great minds and giving them an avenue to express their inventiveness.
He gets rich; they get rich. Win, Win. He just employs more and more great minds.
While doing this, he is using his money wisely by helping humanity in varied ways.
He could be lying on the beach in the Bahamas, doing nothing. Would you like him better?
Let's see! Space X, Starlink, Tesla, Neurolink, Boring Co, Twitter, Paypal, Boxable, Zip 2, Solar City, Open AI,
(I'm sure there are many more). I think it's pretty impressive!
