I just have to ask because this is popping up in the news constantly and it's getting on my nerves!

What on earth is the problem? So an older man has intimate encounters with younger adult man above the age of consent, all consensual. What exactly is the crime?
If it was a 20 year old girl it's the same thing.

You know, you don't have to commit a crime to lose your job... you just need to bring your company into direpute.. and that's precisely what he's done... just taken all these years for the Bosses at GM to listen to people who have been complaining about his antics for years.. believe me..I worked in the TV industry for years... and my husband still does.. we know precisely what's been going on..

I see. No doubt things will come to light soon.

Oh I agree , what a load of rubbish!
That statement from Holly was nonsense, it said absolutely nothing.

I was just curious but really, it's twaddle.
it's true.. she was clearly just making the statement her lawyer and management gave her to say.. it meant absolutely nothing, but she clearly is fighting to hang onto her job..

She has now made herself a target. She was very badly advised and ought to have kept her mouth shut.
Judging from the response from the public, she will very likely be forced to resign very soon.

You seem obsessed with this story Rose...so...let me put you out of your misery.
Holly has plans to join another channel... she will not stay with ITV.

Now did you get Emma (book I recommended) ?

I'm just curious as it's national news.
I reckon Hollie has unleashed a lot of negativity towards herself today, so good luck with her plans. What on earth she's so upset about anyway beats me.

Emma - Jane Austen. I think I may have read it, I do love Austen.

So, a parliamentary hearing, televised, about this.
It must be warranted to be treated as such a nationally important way.

Which specific parliamentary hearing was this, and what were the key points discussed regarding Schofield or Holly? It is difficult to imagine Parliament devoting valuable select committee time directly on Schofield or Holly.

I'm somewhat aware of a pre-planned parliamentary hearing, usually known as a parliamentary select committee hearing or similar hearing. On this occasion held for hearing evidence from broadcasters on the Draft Media Bill. A hearing of several hours and perhaps over a few days, where 2 minutes or so were spent discussing with an ITV director the 'duty of care' employers have towards younger members of staff, in the so-called wake of Schofield 'case'? And then another 2 minutes discussing with the same director the words of the editor of the ITV This Morning show where when questioned by Sky News about a toxic environment dismissively changed the subject and started to immediately talk about aubergines (eggplants) as a response.

I think I'm beginning to find vegetables more interesting too.
