The "Senior Love Triangle" movie

I was in a blended senior apartment, life care and hospice facility for the last three years. I had two ailments that were cured and upon release I ran out of there like the devil was chasing me. The movie was quite painful and sobering especially watching the pain of residents realizing their families use these facilities as dumping grounds. Grim reality aside Ted Danson made the movie. Take care.

Taliovelez, I'm grateful that you posted about this 2019 film. I'd never heard of it, and I'd likely have missed it without your tip.

I can't think of the last time I was so totally absorbed in a movie. Often I was practically on the edge of my seat, as I was almost completely caught up in the story, and how it was gradually unfolding. The tale stayed with me, and I've thought back about it often.

It's a lovely and piquant film, but with heartbreak. It feels almost like a documentary. Three octogenarians in senior care --one male, two female-- gradually come together out of loneliness and love, spending lots of time together in outings and also in romance. I'll avoid spoilers so as not to ruin the discovery of the story.

The 3 leads are long experienced veteran actors of hundreds of films and series: Tom Bower, Marilyn Mason, and Anne Gee Byrd. Their performances are flawless, making it seem as though they really were the characters. The mastery of their craft was evident in their portrayal of subtle emotions as well as histrionics.

First time feature director and co-writer Kelly Blatz shows intuition, sensitivity, and craft beyond his years. The screenplay was fashioned simply from a photographic study by Isadora Kosofsky which documented 3 real-life real life seniors who had a polyamorous triangle.

I think every senior would be enthralled by this unique movie. It's 92 minute runtime sails by, leaving the viewer to reflect on what they'd just seen.

Thanks for the compliment ChiroDoc. When I saw Ted Danson was going to be in the movie I almost passed on the movie download because of his comedic leading part in the "Cheers" TV series but my curiosity got the better of me.

Ever toured Tyndall AFB, Pensacola NAS, Eglin AFB, MacDill AFB, Hurlburt or Whiting Field? I have a Uniden BC785 scanner and monitor the training flights in the Gulf. Sometimes they conduct ordinance drops at Avon Park Gunnery range or fly down the West Coast and practice drills with the F/A18s out of Boca Chica NAS. Take care.

I was of course referring to the excellent Senior Love Triangle. I haven't watched the Danson series. Maybe I'll check it out. I've lost my taste for 30 minute episodes, but sometimes they hold up. After all, at one time that's all there were.

I've never toured any of the bases in the Fla. panhandle. I used to go over to Fort Waldon once in awhile, but haven't been there in years.
