The church organist, Miss Beatrice a spinster in her mid 80's, was admired for her sweetness and kindness to everyone.
One afternoon the church pastor came to call and Miss Beatrice showed him to her quaint sitting room and invited him to have a seat while she prepared some tea.
As he sat facing the old Hammond organ the young pastor noticed a water filled fancy cut glass bowl sitting on the organ and floating in the water was of all things a condom.
The young pastor had been trying to stifle his curiosity about the condom but when Miss Beatrice returned from the kitchen with the tea he found that he could no longer resist knowing.
"Miss Beatrice", he asked, "I wonder if you could tell me about this ?", while pointing towards the bowl.
"Oh yes", she replied, "isn't it just wonderful ?"
She went on to say, "I was walking through the park a few months ago and I found a little package on the ground and the directions said to place it on the organ wet to prevent the spread of disease."
"Do you know what father it works, I haven't been sick a day since I started using it."
