I briefly read through this post and thought about another case years ago that resembled the same line of facts. A couple went missing and left behind their dog, cars and jewelry.
Yesterday, I called a retired friend of mine in St. Louis and asked if he had any new updates on this case. He checked with his friend at the SPD and was told that the case is now listed as a cold case, which means it has been archived and is not being worked. He asked if there were any theories at this time and of course there were a few presented.
The one that seems to hold the most water is that if whoever came in contact with these women wanted to kill just 1 or all 3 of them, they would have done it in the home and left. However, that wasn’t the case. When someone removes people from their homes, there’s always a reason as to why remove them from their home? And that’s where the stumbling block comes into play. There are too many reasons to check out each one individually.
Were they taken hostage because whoever was involved only wanted the 2 young girls, but the mother happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? It’s possible that the 2 young girls were sold into slavery. Were they taken as hostages to seek a ransom later, but got cold feet?
This is one of the better suspicions There is a belief that one of the 3 women that were taken, one of them may have had information on someone that could have been damaging so they needed to grab that person to shut her up. More than likely, at least 2 people grabbed these three women. And since the young girls were seniors, it may have been another young person, or if the mother was being targeted because she had information on someone where she worked, the young girls probably weren’t expected to be at the house when the mother was removed.
The last thing the retired officer told me was that although he has no proof, it’s highly unlikely that if any of the mentioned reasons as to why they were taken did happen, it’s unlikely that these 3 females are not likely to be alive.
