The story of the song - The Streets of London

Gordon Lightfoot's iconic folk song 'The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald' immortalized the 1975 Great Lakes shipwreck in the public consciousness. Recorded as a sidebar during studio time for Lightfoot's album 'Summertime Dream' Mike Fornes, a friend of the band, tells how the song was recorded during the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum 50th anniversary ceremony commemorating the Edmund Fitzgerald and 29 crew members.
