The Stroll

I heard "The Stroll", by the Diamonds on the oldies show. It took me right back to the early 1960s, when I'd come home from school, and had to watch Dick Clark on TV. I loved it when the dancers lined up to do the Stroll. OMG!!!! Talk about super cool. Those people knew the latest dances, they were up on the latest songs. and they were on TV. And then when the danced and strutted down to line to The Stroll. It's like every dancer was a star quarterback, or a head cheerleader.. AAAHHHHHH!! Unbelievable coolness.

In 2022, I watched the video of them dancing the Stroll, they were kind of dorky. Oh, well. Memories

I love this! It's brought back very happy memories of my teenage years in Kuwait. One of my friends was an American girl from Louisiana. She often invited friends over for 'pyjama parties' and that's when she taught us Brits how to do the Stroll. One of the songs we danced to was Fats Domino/Walking to New Orleans.

Most of them look so serious! Just a few laughing and looking like they were having fun.
