When I was working in a previous nursing home, there was a woman, Rachael, who was born in November 1900. The end of the 19th century. On January 1st 1901, the 20th century started. She was still alive and lived through all 100 years of the 20th century. On January 1st 2001, she was still alive and was now entering her third century, the 21st century. She lived until 2004. I can't recall what month she passed away in. So she lived through the last two months of the 19th century. All 100 years of the 20th century. And a little over three years of the 21st century.
I was told that she owned her own cosmetics company in San Francisco. Don't know how true that is. But she was also a model at one time. When you walked into her room, you would see these large pictures of her on the wall. There were at least three of them where she was modeling clothing and slips. She looked to be in her 20's, so they must have been taken in the 1920's.
Now there was a woman who lived a long and interesting life. And I almost forgot. She also had a "Sugar Daddy". She had a picture him and he signed it for her.
