I have not ever taken aspirin daily but am considering a low dose ....
The problem is that aspirin has caused bleeding issues.I've tackled this one before. First, I am one of the lucky ones who can take aspirin in moderation. It, along with penicillin, is one of the most effective drugs of modern medicine. Aspirin is a Godsend to arthritics and anyone suffering from a high fever. It reduces dangerous fevers in a short time without fear of shock. It also reduces inflammations to a manageable level. If, of course, anyone who suffers from bleeding issues, this drug is a no-no. Also, if digestive disorders are present, it is also countermanded.
Don't take Aspirin without your doctor's OK. That is the safest route to follow.
Aspirin is toxic and deadly to mammals, depending on size, condition and dosage.
For example just one or two aspirin will likely be deadly to dog or a cat, and possibly to a human adult.
Fresh ginger root is a much better alternative, can be chewed, added to other foods, or blended with water and used
topically and internally, without the negative consequences of toxic and potentially deadly drugs like aspirin and ibuprofen.
This is a good reminder. Years ago, the acupuncturist I went to told me to make ginger tea. I need to again.Yes, ginger is cited as one of the best natural anti-inflammatories.
My mother took a daily aspirin for about 10 years after a heart attack on recommendation of the doctor. In the end she got severe stomach bleeding and died two weeks later. The last info I heard was that it does more harm than good.
Daily aspirin was recommended to me at my diabetes diagnosis 13 years ago. I said, "No thanks."
The previous information claimed that it reduced the risk of a stroke or heart attack from a blood clot - by thinning the blood & preventing clotting.
The newer information said it increased the risk of a stroke caused by bleeding - that wouldn't stop.
