The U.S. has bombed 3 Iran Nuke sites

Things may eventually get quiet for a period of time but the hatred and frustration will continue to bubble away for generations to come.
@Aunt Bea, sadly that has been going on for many decades with the radicals in charge there. I remember the open hostilities to the U.S. coming to light (for me as a teen) in 1979 with the embassy being taken. I didn't imagine then, that those hostilities would have continued for the next 46 years.

It's now up to the people in Iran to take back their country themselves & replace the existing government who has suppressed their freedom for decades. Hopefully, they will create one that will bring them a better & more modern life like others have in the region. It will be difficult, but doable if they have the will power to get rid of their oppressors.

taking in as many "facts" as possible on this whole scenario and putting politics to one side I would personally say that if asked to make a similar call or NOT - I would have to say reluctantly but honestly that this would have been a difficult one to call for anyone and if a poll was taken could have come out 50/50 for or against. At this stage I couldn't fault the call

I recall Trump called Putin and Xi Jinping last week, probably to assure them he had no ambitions in Iran other than preventing a nuclear weapon. So hopefully there is no fallout from them. As far as the middle-east Muslims, their goal is to get rid of the U.S. no matter what, so about all we could do is get rid of their nuclear.

Here is the President's address to the nation:

And, Putin and Xi called each other. And, Xi visited Putin in Moscow.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” the president wrote on Truth Social. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow.”

“All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors,” Trump added. “There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
Now is the time for peace?? I highly doubt there will be peace now

As of a few minutes ago, it was announced that US forces have bombed Fordo, Natanz, and Eshahan

AP article on Yahoo

I mentioned this a couple days ago. It was the very easiest of predictions to make. It was always 100% certain that Israel would not have attacked without word from the US, and that the US - once they had everything in place - would join in.

Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction. Iran posed no immediate danger to the US, or for that matter Israel. This is a political war.

Why? The attacks were not from Europe and Iran has no nuclear bomb now.
If you believe that, I have a bridge in Arizona to sell you.

There is zero evidence that Iran had/has a nuclear bomb. Israel's leader has been claiming Iran was three to five years from developing the bomb since the early 1990's. It's propaganda.

Still, if you look at the countries that do have nuclear weapons, it's hardly a list filled with the most stable, trusted, governments:
  1. Russia
  2. United States
  3. China
  4. France
  5. United Kingdom
  6. India
  7. Pakistan
  8. Israel
  9. North Korea
Iran has been problematic to the West for some time, and that's what diplomacy is supposed to be about. But this.....

I can never figure out the reasoning.
We grant the power to congress to declare war, but to my understanding, it hasn't done so since the 1940's.
Nevertheless, we have been involved in numerous wars and conflicts, including Vietnam and Iraq.
Then Russia invades Poland, and we don't get militarily involved, or even when they invade Ukraine.
However, we get directly involved with the Israel and Iran conflict.
I simply cannot connect the dots.
I get that the president has the authority to take immediate action against threats to this country, but we have been threatened numerous times by Russia, North Korea, and China, but no action is taken.
Whatever the case, I expect the price of oil will go up.

I can't find the amount of casualties. If they are bombing sites then I would assume it's low.
Targeted strikes on nuclear sites seems better than bombing hospitals.

I have heard no reports that they "have/had" a nuclear bomb. *However* what they do have is 60% enriched uranium which is close to the 90% needed for weapons grade. So am I understanding that you are disagreeing with your Prime Minister who says Iran is/was a "grave threat to international security" if allowed to become a nuclear power? (Of course it's fine if you disagree with him, just trying to get a handle on what you're saying.)

60% is not enough to be made into a nuke, but it's a lot closer... is waiting until they reach 90% and nuke someone a wise choice? And maybe the decades of "death to Israel, death to America" would expand to "death to UK, etc.?" Like how far should they be be allowed to advance before someone took steps to stop them and suddenly it's too late? Honest question.

yes but so what - no one so far has provided any international regulations for the manufacture of uranium or its storage and use? - we are trying to come to conclusions on religious grounds and subjective feelings of other countries - surely don't all countries have the same right to manufacture uranium or is there a secret rule book??
