The Victims of the Allen TX Shooting

I know this post has been covered in other threads, but so much is always discussed about the shooter and not the victims. I watched the individual stories of the victims and it brought to my eyes. Please read or watch this if you can so we can focus on these precious victims. The memorial being constructed is also really touching.

This is all so horrific. I was listening to the news, and the reader was talking about all the recent shootings. To my disgust, I saw I already forgot about that beautiful young man who was shot ringing the wrong doorbell.

It's insane that I could have, even momentarily, forgot that incident, they are happening like every day. 😭
 
The incidents are also coming with such frequency that it’s easy to forget the horrors of a previous week in light of the latest atrocity. Sending “thoughts and prayers” isn’t cutting it anymore, politicians. Gun violence is now the #1 cause of child deaths. We need legislation or the carnage will continue…
 
John Fogerty wrote Run Through the Jungle in 1970 about all the gun violence in America. Lynyrd Skynyrd had a song in the mid-'70s about gun violence called Saturday Night Special. The rate of gun violence is now more than twice what it was in the 1970s.
