The parents of the child being exploited should also be indicted for giving the child a smartphone that receives such vile content. There are plenty of cell phones available that provide children with the ability to call anyone including 911 but aren't connected to the Internet. A child can learn all it needs to know about the Internet from a computer in the parent's living room or in the classroom. A child's brain is not fully developed enough to be sent out alone with a smartphone and all the dangers it contains. It is already against the law in the United States for parents to give their children alcohol, tobacco, or drugs. Smartphones should be added to the list.
 
This group is full of very nasty people that target vulnerable individuals, especially minors and those with existing mental health struggles, on social media platforms like Discord and Roblox. They groom and manipulate victims, often using peer pressure, threats, and blackmail to force compliance.

I think it’s very possible that at least some of these people are mentally ill themselves.

Yes, I've read a few stories on the 764 group and similar ones, and I was shocked at the lengths they went to in order to gain credibility and trust. You'd think they could put that creativity and energy to a more noble purpose. :rolleyes:

I think there is more to the story behind the 764 group than what we have been told. The online extremist network known as "764" operates globally. Originating in the United States, it has metastasized into a transnational, decentralized network with offshoots and subgroups in many parts of the world.

They act without reason or cause. Young people and people that are mentally challenged are definitely more at risk.

I have brought this issue up to several of my friends and I was somewhat amazed at how few were aware of this group.

I'd have to admit to be one of those folks. I never heard of it either? I guess some of we old-timers are more sheltered than we thought.
Have to ask one of my kids about it. All 4 of them are in their 60's but do have adult children so they may be aware.
 
I deliberately control and limit the amount of world info I want and am willing to access each day - my priorities are walks in my forest - good old non-violent films ; minimum house work - don't need to garden forest takes care of that? and some local ageing socialization in town [ again controlled as best I can to limits - but they can be a lot of fun!] My grandchilds activities are controlled by parents NOT by me [although some consultation is allowed by ME!

It is not a very well known group because they seldom show up in social media or the mainstream media, but rather a
decentralized, secretive online network of nihilistic violent extremists involved in child exploitation, which operates deliberately to evade public notice and law enforcement detection. This group is probably one of the more vile and evil groups around today. I would hope all parents would speak to their school aged children about this species (sic). I don’t think they are human (sic).

I probably wouldn’t have been aware of this group either, except for seeing it talked about online on another forum a few months ago.
 
I never heard of this group, but I am going to read about them. I have one granddaughter in college yet, so I will talk to her about them. Chances are she already is aware of them because she reads a lot and stays on top of the news.

I wasn't aware of this group, either, until I read the story that I posted the clip from the other day, about the boy who killed himself as a result of sextortion.

It saddens me to think people can be so cruel.
 
What about that deviate Andrew Tate? What a miserable excuse for a human being. Goes around giving advice to young men and putting women down saying they are only good for one thing. Apparently, I read that Barron Trump is a fan of him and asked advice on dating women. He's the last person to ask. His girlfriend has accused him of choking her during rough sex. How
are these lowlifes allowed to even exist of social media, apparently, he has a huge following.
 
I had no idea about this group until I saw a snippet on the local news. I posted it to raise awareness so grandparents can ask questions, within their family and friend circles, if they want to.
