Such a substantial entryway. A walled garden like that may not make sense in earthquake country but they sure are nice to visit.

Those are beautiful pictures, Holly. I love walled gardens. They are so peaceful to be in & to just relax. It came across my mind looking at these photos, these two in particular, how much history that tree has lived through & is still standing to see more.

Yes I often ponder the same thing. We have woodland surrounding my house, and as I walk through and see the old Oaks and the weeping willows.. , I wonder how much they've seen over the years... and all the new sapplings, just how long they will be there and how much they will see in the future when I'm long gone....
