The Waltons...do they still live in America?

Looking back on the show I wouldn't have liked to live in a family like the Waltons who seemed to be so close it was claustrophobic.

I absolutely agree. Love is what the show was all about. it makes me want to hug a grandparent but they're all gone now. So I hug a rerun of the show occasionally. :eek:

True, it's the love of family that most resonates, I didn't know there was any other way within families till I learned differently talking with others and witnessed hate between siblings and other family members. But for me that is the thing I miss most, can't be replaced by a man or other things outside of family for me, though a lifetime of love with a significant other would have been nice too, I don't long for that, I long for my dearly departed family members. Nothing can replace that, but, being able to find joy in other things and having great friendships are a pretty great as well. I'm thankful I have friends who are as close as family, whom I love dearly. :)
