So, I know there are night owls. But I tire of that name, so..how about Wee'ers?

I don't go to bed til 2am, sometimes 3am, PST. Being old, it's hard to get to sleep. So...Wee'ers, or should we call ourselves weewees?:playful:....post some pics of what you think a weewee would wook wike. Oh. Wait. Sorry. lol

In other words...post whatever you want to entertain others in the same weeweeboat.;)

Well think about it.

I sleep in shifts. 3 or four hours at a time.

So if you go to bed at 10, I'm sure to be up at 2.

So now I just stay up as long as I can and when I start nodding off it's time to sleep again.

One night I couldn't fall asleep at all, so I wanted to find out how long I could stay awake without falling asleep.

I made it to 2 o clock in the afternoon the next day. What the heck. Plenty of time to sleep when you are dead.

Think of it. We spend 1/3 of our life sleeping. And probably 1/3 waiting in line.

I'm a very early bird so there is about an hour when I inhabit the same space as the night owls.

Anywhere from 2:30- 3:00 am...you're going to bed and I'm waking up...sometimes. I seldom sleep past 4 though.

I usually can't sleep so I end up looking up the days news or whatever on my phone and it sure doesn't help you fall asleep like reading a book. I need to stop the electronics...phone, TV so I can sleep at night.......although that might not even work since I'm always thinking too much!

I'm usually up at 2:00 or 3:00am for a few hours then back to bed, up until 12:00 or 1:00pm then time for a nap, up at 2:00 or 3:00pm and ready for bed by 8:00 or 9:00pm.

My schedule or lack of one seems to bother some folks and I'm not really sure why, I'm always available when I need to be.

When I was in school there was a girl, named Agnes, who did a schedule something like that on purpose, during final exams. She said her sharpest thinking was right after she woke up. Her theory was the more times she "woke up" during the day, the better, especially during finals. She may have been right. She always got all A's in everything.

I took a graduate course years ago and the professor required us to take 4 hours off, be in class/workshop for 8 hours, 4 hours off, etc... He believed it doubled the amount of productive time that he could work with us and also tested the depth of the well to see how we would function in stressful situations with little sleep. Like many things in my life I enjoyed it once it was over.

In college I experimented with polyphasic sleep schedules for a while - you take 6 cat-naps of about half an hour during a 24-hour cycle.

It took some getting used to, and it isn't a workable schedule for everyone, but for me it worked just fine.

Now I keep odd hours, sometimes up all night and other times sleeping like a baby.

Working for the State Police requires working rotating shifts. Two weeks first, two weeks second and two weeks third shift. I also worked out of 6 different Barracks. (That may be a record.) And, I also worked only third shift for 31 of my 37 years with the State Police. We were called many things, but Night Owl will suit here.

Now we need to post obnoxious pics we find on google of sleeping people/animals/etc. Either we can put ourselves to sleep looking at such pics...or we startle ourselves wide awake again. :playful:

I'll start posting some in the weewee hours although I do like the term night stalker. Reminds me of that old show on tv, lol. Night walker sounds like The Walking Dead. Then again..that suits too. *snort*

Same here,Im always searching the bed in the morning for phone or kindle, whichever I was holding when I nodded off:)
The 2 spoiled furbabes, generally start appearing about 6,letting me know starvation is imminent,1 meows, the other walks up and down me.
