When I was very young both of my parents worked so the weekend was special because they were home for two days. Then in school I looked forward to the weekend because they were home and I had two days in which to play with no school. Of course then there was working for a living and having a family. I could not wait for the weekend to relax and spend time with my family. I did not work overtime which I avoided like the plague. I worked for a living not lived for working.
I made sure I could cover all bases by working a five day week.
Anyway I would say I was programed to look forward to weekends. Kind of like waking up at five every morning. I was able to kick that habit after about a year or so of retirement. Thank you kindly for your responses. They gave me insight into the ideas/thoughts of others which is exactly what I was looking for....
