The Worst Thing to Happen to Me Today

I think it’s me. My husband and son love smoked salmon. I generally don’t like anything with a smokey flavor. I thought this might be different. It wasn’t.
I'm not keen on smoked meats.... really not keen, and I kick myself if I inadvertantly pick up smoked ham instead of unsmoked in the shop.... but I like smoked fish, it has a different taste.. my preference is for smoked Trout. ...however if you don't like anything smoked then everything will taste horrible , I understand that !

Worst thing to happene to me today was that I was almost in a collission.

At the end of the road at a T Junction the trees on the T road have been allowed to grow out of control, so it's imposssibe to see what traffic is coming from the left, while also watching for traffic from the right before pulling out. So.. I couldn't see anything coming from way back beyond the tree, so I pulled out gingerly, and a car coming from the left obviously hidden by the tree turned into my road right across the front of my car.. when when normally people wait and let us out.. but this person didn't, and they just missed my bumper by about an inch or 2... 😨

Yikes! Near misses like that are so scary! Glad you came out of it okay.

The worst thing to happen to me today, so far, is that I missed the alarm and didn't take my thyroid medicine at 5:00 am this morning. I took it when I woke at 7:33 am, which means I can't have coffee until 8:34 am.

It's only 8:12 am... still waiting... :coffee:
I have a similar problem with thyroid medicine and usually have it at 5 or 6 AM. When I get up an hour or so later I take another medicine to control stomach acid and have to wait another hour before breakfast. I think this has helped me lose weight which isn't all bad.

I've been taking lansoprazole ( omeprozole) for years now.. and as it has to be taken on an empty stomach and no eating for an hour at least... then I have just got used over the years to.. not eating until lunchtime or later...

The worst thing that happened to me was falling out of a chair I was sitting in. I have this thing, it's got dials for temp., pressure and humidity. Instead of standing and putting it back on the wall, I tried turning around, to put it back, while seated. I lost my balance, and fell out of the chair, but the arm of the chair dug into me just below the rib cage. Oh yeah, that hurt. I'll live, but I feel kind of stupid for falling out of a chair, while sitting in it.

Hey, it's a thing. I fell out of a Papasan chair once. Those things are like giant, cushy bowls and I still managed to tip it over and fall out of it.

Sorry you got hurt on the way down and hope it wasn't too bad. 🤗

The worst thing today has been, meh, still being a bit dizzy from the vertigo attack a couple weeks ago. It's fading slowly.
I should probably do some vestibular exercise... maybe.

EDIT: Removed and replaced original post which was for a different thread.
