There are so many not nice people in this world

I was at Bunnings Hardware. Only bought 4 items.
Proceeding to the checkout, there was another person walking towards the checkout, the last few steps ,he hurried and actually bumped me aside to get there first. ?????/
So we were at the checkout together and I told him as well.
I never stopped talking about the lack of manners some people have theses days. As he left, he gave me the bird.
As I say, too many inconsiderate people in the world these days.

But that pales to the imaginative making movies. After watching the first few minutes, I wager there were no fans of The Cowboys in Tombstone.

@Bretrick, when I was working I would have done exactly as you did and call someone out for cutting me in line. I don't fault you for that at all. There are lots of selfish, entitled people on the planet.

When you finally retire you will realize that 1) you have nothing but time and 2) it is not worth affecting your health by getting angry. I still occasionally honk at people and flip them off in traffic but it's more passive than aggressive these days. :ROFLMAO:

If you ever want to see or meet the rudest people on the globe (why would you?) just go to any airport. I have been to many, many, cities, stores and yes, airports, and I have never met any more rudest people than I have than the people in airports.

Even when I was working and wearing my uniform, it didn’t matter. People would still push by me to get into the bathroom, or the to get on the trams or even through the front door.

We need to be a bit cautious before we judge someone’s intent by their actions, People with social anxiety disorder may, for example, be unable to focus on relevant cues in their environment, and so tune those things out.

That being said, Albert Ellis would remind us that jerks are always going to act like jerks, because how else could they behave other than by their defining characteristic? 🤪

Wow, it is very creative of you to shape shift into a "pod caster", or "influencer" that are so popular. He has his favorites. So you probably just blew his mind. :) Your lucky he didn't "Will Slap" you! :ROFLMAO: Confronting people that way is commendable because we all are aggravated about the "wars" going on, and they are everywhere, all the time. So why not talk about it, because we would rather suppress it, and then justify our violence towards each other. So talking about anything leads to violence? No, we can avoid falling into that abyss by running in a store to get in line before others do, which is fun if you have played any sports. :)

I've perfected what I call the "New York Shuffle": I have managed to get in front of a line with no pushing whatsoever. I set my sights on a desired object (a seat on the subway) and zig zag my way to my goal with no touching at all. I did it so well that one day, years ago of course, I got into the lone seat on my train and another woman rushing & pushing for it didn't see me already sitting there. She sat on me!!! Then she got up screaming I stole her seat and asking everyone in the subway car to extract me! It was such fun I had to---well I wanted to laugh but didn't; I just ignored her like everyone else did! Works for any type of line. NO Touching others allowed!

I don't blame you for speaking up. I do wonder if it's the best thing to do sometimes. He was out of line flipping you off for sure.

Not sure if he was in a hurry to get back to a job he was working on. Who knows.

As far as the social anxiety goes, I like self check out which I know a lot of people don't because it takes jobs away. It's a valid point. However, I like it because it's one less person I have to deal with. I went to WINCO Foods yesterday against my better judgement for a Saturday. I snuck through the self check even though I was probably slightly over the item limit.
