There are still good people in this world

After my husband passed, it was like starting all over looking for reliable & honest folks to do mechanic work for me.

Even if I didn’t have arthritis in my hands, I wouldn’t be able to change the oil in my Saturn. The RF wheel has to be pulled for me to do it.

I had a great vehicle mechanic recommendation from the ATV mechanic. It turns out the young man who owns this custom speed shop worked with my husband 20+ years ago. He had trouble talking when I said DH has passed and even more trouble when I showed him the album of my husband’s unfinished Maverick.

We chatted while my Saturn was getting maintenanced. To my amazement he refused to accept payment for the work they did on my car.

It is good to know I have some where trustworthy to take the street vehicles.

There are still good people - we just have find them😇😇

Since my seperation from my soon2bex.. who did all the maintenence in the house and on the vehicles, I've had to look for a lot of outside help for certain things I can't do myself, like electrics, plumbing... and most importantly car maintenence.. You have to kiss a lot of toads, before you find a frog... too many people out there on the make I found to my complete and utter dismay

That is the gospel truth.

I would have never thought about this speed shop because I thought they only do custom work. They were also so far off the side street, I drove past their building four times before I finally cowed down and called them.

My insurance agent is also a personal friend. I have asked her for references for things pertaining to the house and outbuildings.

My sheriff neighbor’s father is a heavy equipment operator, he gave me the tractor repair guy’s number.

I hope I have all the repair names I need and I hope you also get your list filled🤠

I'm so glad your finding good people to help you, @Imogene.

The heating/AC guy retired & we now use a young man who worked for him & has started out on his own business. The plumber also retired & we use the company who he sold to & they have been great to deal with. Everyone we use now is pretty much by word of mouth. I'm more than happy to recommend them without hesitation.

I take a pic of the business cards of who we use in my cell so I can either show it to someone or send it to them.

I have been able to find some good people here. Sadly, the mechanic I was very happy with is no longer in business. The local handyman guys have a lot of drama going on between them so I found one the next town over that I am happy with. I hope he stays around a while.
