There's a new "Fluff Butt" in town!

@Trila

Hi Trila. This is my Ragdoll cat, Finnian.

Your Goober is what's called a Dark-Nosed Ragdoll. Finnian's vet told me they used to call them Black-Faced, but that got controversial, so they changed it to Black-Nosed, then after Ragdoll became an official breed, the breeders association changed it again.

About 4 years ago, after my older cat, Buddy, died, Finn went into my closet and wouldn't come out. I kept picking him up and bringing him out, but he just ran right back in there. After several days of that, I put his litterbox in there and took his food and water to him (he wasn't eating much), and my cousin visited one day and said I shouldn't do that. She said Finnian was depressed, and she offered to take him to her farm to be a barn cat...she had several cats already, being barn cats.

So, I let her take him. He's still there, happy as can be. My cousin said he's too pretty to sleep in the barn, though. He sleeps in the house with her. I guess he needed a change of environment, one that didn't remind him of his ol' pal, Buddy.

Maybe he also enjoyed the company of other cats.

Today is one month since we've seen Goober. It's hard, but I know that it's time to accept that he is not coming home.

He is missed so much because he did everything with us. He was a good walking buddy and companion.

I know that even though his life was short, we gave him a good life and he lived it to the fullest. He was happy just being a cat, and that is how I think of him.

Any possibility of seeing a few little goobers wandering around sometime soon?

(Was Goob neutered?)

"People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime".

This can also apply to pets. Goober filled your life with such joy – such a beautiful cat with such an engaging personality. Hugs ❀️
When Andy died, I was devastated. We knew that his life was going to be short, due to a birth defect. Even knowing, I had a hard time after losing him. Almost a year went by, and I still couldn't look at a picture of Andy without crying.

I decided that I should get a new kitten, to distract me from losing Andy.

So, that is when I got Goober. On the day we brought him home, I sat Goob down and had a talk with him. I told him that he had ONE job, and only one job. His job was to put a bandaid on the hole that Andy left in my heart. In return, I would love him, spoil him, and give him the best life that I could.

Never in a million years, did I except that he would be so good at his job!!!
