There's a new "Fluff Butt" in town!

@Trila

Hi Trila. This is my Ragdoll cat, Finnian.

Your Goober is what's called a Dark-Nosed Ragdoll. Finnian's vet told me they used to call them Black-Faced, but that got controversial, so they changed it to Black-Nosed, then after Ragdoll became an official breed, the breeders association changed it again.

About 4 years ago, after my older cat, Buddy, died, Finn went into my closet and wouldn't come out. I kept picking him up and bringing him out, but he just ran right back in there. After several days of that, I put his litterbox in there and took his food and water to him (he wasn't eating much), and my cousin visited one day and said I shouldn't do that. She said Finnian was depressed, and she offered to take him to her farm to be a barn cat...she had several cats already, being barn cats.

So, I let her take him. He's still there, happy as can be. My cousin said he's too pretty to sleep in the barn, though. He sleeps in the house with her. I guess he needed a change of environment, one that didn't remind him of his ol' pal, Buddy.

Maybe he also enjoyed the company of other cats.

A friend of mine may have found what it was that Goob had removed...

I've never heard of this before, but it's the closest thing I've seen, to describe it. All I know is that Goober is happy and active!!!

Well, he's not active right now. Right now, he's sound asleep in the bookcase.....happy as can be!!! 1762176256004.png
