There's a party going on in my head right now and YOU'RE INVITED!

Okay, so maybe the party's a little bit boring right now but I'm pretty open minded about most things. What ideas do you have that we could try to liven things up?

My name is, to be revealed later. When we know each other at least a little. And I hope we will do so. I did, after all, invite you into my head! So tell me what else I could have put here to let you know me better. What kinds of things do you like to know about people online whom you very well and sadly so, may never meet live or even speak with face to face?

I'm a man so I mostly like "guy stuff" but not ONLY those types of things. I know a thing or two about a thing or two so I can converse on many subjects and I have the willingness to do just that. Try me and my knowledge about doilies or essential oils. Traditionally feminine topics. You just may well be surprised at what a can of worms I can be to speak with. A good can actually so. And what really is guy stuff anyways? I'm retired and I enjoy being so but it does get a bit lonely at times. That's why I'm typing this now. In the hope that you may be lonely too and since we have at least that in common, along with the ability to read, we could maybe begin a conversation from there. Who knows, it might even develop into us becoming acquaintances and after that, why, the sky's the limit! But first we have to know of each other and since you now know of me, please do introduce yourself, that I may know of you as well, kind sir or madame, as the case may be. (And no, that's not how I usually talk. That was just for fun!)

I live in Ohio, the Buckeye State and have for most all my life. Columbus is where I reside and have, again for most of my life. I do like to travel however and I mostly travel alone. So even if you're far from or have no clue where Columbus Ohio may be other that someplace in North America, feel free to say hello anyway. I'm not exactly like Carmen Sandiego but where in the world I might be tomorrow or the next day could put us in closer proximity. And I love dining in or having coffee at local restaurants and cafes. I'm not so big on touristy thins, though I've done a few here and there. I'm trying to find some other place to live in so if you're a local someplace else, I want to know how your life and mine are different. Then maybe we can go and see the Taj Mahal or climb Devil's Peak after we see how you shop for groceries there. Life is interesting to me as are the people I meet.

I'm single, if that matters and I'm sure it will to at least 3-4 of you reading. I enjoy computering, obviously, writing, obviously again, chatting, need I say more? I also consider myself to be someone who I would like to know, if I didn't already know so much about myself. I like interesting people but I don't like opinionated people. I prefer the free thinking type who although their minds may already be made up, the concrete that they're set in is still wet enough to have a bit of wiggle room to change if a better way to think is presented to them. That made sense to me, when I wrote it, I hope it still makes sense when you read it. Then again, many will not bother to read this far. If you did tough, you are just the type of person that I want to know. Send me a private message, now, and say something totally off the wall like "Have you seen what Judy's done with her hair?" Or something similar. That should sort out the wheat from the chaff, eh? I'm not sure if that's clever or devious but I'm smiling in anticipation of what kinds of messages I might receive from that request! Time will tell.

So, dear reader, there you have it, far more than you asked for and more than necessary to formulate an opinion on whether or not to say hello to me or if you should just pass me by. Many have, you know and I too have passed by many en route to my arrival here. But we live on the same planet and we both are on this website, so I don't see any downside to us getting to know each other better. I've said a boatload about me, now what are you willing to tell me about you? I'd say that I'm all ears, under usual circumstances but here, on the internet and in describing ourselves, the eyes definitely have the advantage. So let's just say that I'm all eyes, for now, shall we? Sweet dreams and happy hours! Cheers! :giggle:

I've always enjoyed that song, Please Come To Boston, now that I see the skyline I know why someone should! What a beautiful city you live in and what a wonderful world that it is, with so many nice greetings I've had and I've barely been here a moment! Thank you ever so much!

Chris, You're AWESOME!!!! Welcome to US! I, for one, will be anxiously awaiting your posts. The best way to get to know everyone is to read their comments. By their words, ye shall know them!

Why thank ya there, missy! You and my mama are the only ones to ever say that about me, that I know of anyways. Thank you for such a warm welcome after such a chilly day here where I am. I ope you don't expect too much from me. I'd rather underpromise and overperform but I'll do my best to be at lest interesting if not AWESOME! That's quite a responsibility, that one. But I do thank you and am very grateful for your response. I also agree that yes, words say a lot about who someone is. They reveal our inner selves!;)

*Gets out the sandwich fixins* Hello BLT...I mean Chris. *Grins*
Hi there, friendly butcherer! I like BLT's myself, all except for the B part! I always appreciate someone who's happy enough to let me know that they too have a sense of humor. That's a plus and a mighty big one at that, in my book! Cheers to ya, my friend! I just hope that no one tries to roast me anytime soon pretending that it's only a comedic one at that! :giggle:

Welcome from N.J. Mr. Bacon. Okay, here's me in a nutshell (well sort of). I've been retired for almost 23 years (retired at 50), and widowed for just under 2 years. I'm a composer-arranger-producer...debut album released in 2003, long hiatus and just released three singles this summer. I'm psychic (though not "on demand") and left handed. I have one child, a son, who is my recording engineer, nine step children, five grandchildren and about a gazillion step grands and great grands (seriously, we lost count). I love word games, music, being at the ocean and lots of laughter, which I usually initiate with my craziness. I got hooked on the wonder of social networking with people from all over about 13 years ago so here I am.

Greetings from just across the friendly border. Waving at you from Chatham, just a hop skip and a jump from Caesars Windsor which welcomed many from the Buckeye State.

Welcome to the forum :)
