These Are Never Used Anymore

I’m doing my best to get rid of ’stuff’ so I’m opening drawers searching for things I never use.

It’s a slow process. So far I’ve decided that these have to go. Do you use these?

- celery dish.

- manual mixer.

- flour sieve.

- mini sized cast iron fry pan. It’s never used, though I’m still uncertain about this.

Hi!
I think we all "we all have the same stuff".. and haven't used any you've listed along
with a bunch of other stuff...too many to list.

I have no real plans for this week, so I plan to do an end of year clean out as well. Part of 2022 New Year New Me. It does give a sense of satisfaction to do that.
I did start by getting some of the empty plastic totes from when I moved out of my closet and brought them to my niece yesterday. She is going to store them in her basement for me. She is going to use them herself, as needed.....and then will have them when it comes time in the future that I leave here

A celery dish is kinda 1950's isn't it! haha!
It sure is. Mine was from my grandmother, maybe great grandmother. I thinking serving celery was just something women did. Maybe celery was exotic way back then, especially stuffed with cheese whiz.

I do have a strainer
can be used as a sifter
That‘s what I’ve been using too. Decided it was perfectly fine for sifting flour or anything else. I also rinse the rice in it too.

A Cast Iron Fry Pan?
Well, Jeffrey Dahmer could have used that. Sometimes when he was late for dinner, he got the cold shoulder.

I’m shocked that people have not heard of a celery dish. It’s approximately 10” x 5” x 1.5”. Perfect size for serving raw celery. Newer ones were usually rectangular. Grandma’s was a more ornate variation. I couldn’t even find one in a quick google search. Darn, maybe I should be charging a fortune for this unique dish.

I remember them as split in half so you could put celery sticks on one side and olives on the other.
That’s a pickle dish. Those were on the guest table too. Celery dishes are longer.

Now, who here doesn’t covet buying this pristine, unique, special dish to serve your celery. For you today, available for a small fortune. Or it’ll be in my garage sale in the summer.

I am planning on doing the same in these cold months. I do use my manual mixer pretty often. The flour sifter I have was my parents' and old so didn't want to get rid of it. But now that I don't use flour, maybe I should get rid of it too. I had a pretty big collection of cast iron and when I moved here, I sold a bunch of them. Then gave the last skillets I had left to my son because I could no longer lift them easily. I now, have 2 of those mini cast iron skillets and have not used them at all. Guess they will have to go too. I figure if I do not use it, do not need it taking up any of my precious space in a cupboard.
