They like the sound of their own voice,.....!

My mother used to talk about people who she thought "liked the sound of their own voice", (maybe she thought they were self important people, a bit full of themselves).

That's the subject of this thread, and I thought it might benefit from a video on the topic, but my search has only come up with this so far:

 

When a person talked too much and kept taking over the conversation, my Mom used to say, "She likes the sound of her own voice." And some people just never shut up. Sometimes nobody else can get a word in. If everyone left the room, they might keep on talking!

My daughter had a group of her little mates stay over when she was about eight years old she told me.
One girl was such a chatterbox, and so overexcited perhaps, she kept the other four girls awake long into the early hours!
My daughter and the others trying to slow up or stem the chatterbox tried everything to quieten her, including feeding her many sweets, all to no avail. :)
(whether this particular little friend got asked back I never learned).
