We had ordered a replacement sliding glass patio door and 3 windows in Nov. We got a call today saying our door and windows were in . I asked , "can it wait until we have a nice day in Jan. to install them ?" "Well ,we'd REALLY like to come today." They had a big explanation of why they had to do it Today. OKay - I fell for it.

It's 2 degrees out with a minus 21 windchill !!!! So they were here this morning at 9 am ..... replacing windows ! Then ...... it turned out it was more work than they thought , so they called it quits, leaving the windows in , but with no insulation. Bbbrrrrr !!!!!

I can't believe they made the crew work in this cold. I felt so sorry for them. Now I'm sitting here with the furnace cranked up , under a blanket , hoping it gets warmer so they can finish the job. Well .... I guess since it's New Years eve , I'll have to have a little "nip"
Just to keep me warm ~~~LOL

Wow, I'm really surprised they did the work in cold weather like that! Stay warm, must be losing a lot of heat with no insulation, a little nip and a warm blanket sounds like the perfect remedy. :friendly_wink:

That's the kind of luck I have with furniture delivery.

I get a delivery confirmation that gives me a range of, say, 1-5 p.m. The weather will be beautiful until 4:55, at which time it starts raining torrentially. The delivery guys show up at 4:59 and bring a wet couch/mattress/refrigerator into the house. I SWEAR they sit at the end of the street in their truck, playing on their computers and eating potato chips until it starts to rain.
