They say the clinic is safe now.

I've been getting emails from the Cleveland clinic saying that people need not be afraid to go to the clinic because they are social distancing in the waiting areas and requiring masks and taking people's temperature on their forehead when they come in.

So I made an appointment to get my upper right quadrant abdomen ultra sounded and I will get my lab tests that day too.

It took them sending me three emails like this to finally decide to go back there.

I’m sure they are disinfecting too! And glad you are going to get checked. Drs here have been saying on tv and in the paper that they are concerned that people are letting serious conditions go, past the point where early interventions would have produced a better outcome.

Thank you. I'd say that's very true.

I hope everything (especially your tests) all work out OK.

I had to go to a clinic in the middle of all this, and they had people wait in their cars for their turn. One person admitted a a time.
Thanks. I've heard that before about waiting in cars. Is it the Cleveland Clinic? I don't have a car...

No, this was in Charlottesville, VA. I saw one woman who was obviously getting tested for the virus stay in her car while the nurses came out and swabbed her through her driver's window. She never exited her vehicle...just got swabbed and pulled away.

I just needed to have blood drawn, so they called me in, took it, then booted me out for the next person.

Oh okay.

When I went to Urgent Care yesterday, they had markers as to where to stand at check in desk. And they had some seats blocked off...so there was at least two seats between patients. Lots more hand sanitizer around as well.
I got a message in my portal that my doctors office is doing the same right now as well.
Funny thing, I had forgotten to bring a cloth mask, so I put one one of the paper ones I carry with me. Before I left, the nurse, with a smile in her eyes leaned in and said --you have it on upside down. Flip it over. She showed me on her mask how to wear it. She was not accusing..just being helpful. I thanked her.
@Ruthanne good luck at your appointment. Another positive is that the doctor at the Urgent Care told me that with people following proticols, staying social distant and such, they have seen cases go down a bit. Here at least.

I'm thinking the clinic I'm going to will be similar to where you went. That would be great. I don't think there should be any problems because they are requiring everyone to wear a mask. I hope your UTI gets better soon. I've had them before, too.

You are a braver person than I am! But, the Cleveland Clinic is probably a safe bet for safety.

Hope all your results turn out well and that you are feeling better.
