They're Ruining the Game I Love

About the " 20 second rule" (new timming for 2024), I totally agree. Some think of baseball as a slow deliberate chess game, but chess is not a huge spectator sport. Few are willing to sit for 4 hours to watch less than 36 minutes of actual game. I do agree that stopping the game for a review does grind the game to a long, almost unbearable pause. But the outcome does give legitimacy to the game.
 
This is only one of the reasons I lost my enthusiasm for major league baseball. And there was a time when I wanted to go pro; I was totally into it.
