I have the world's largest collections of padlocks without keys and .....well....keys that fit nothing.
Why can't I part with them?
Why can't I part with them?
When I decide to part with something it goes to the closet collection bag first. I never look in it again. If I had to, I could. In a few weeks, I take it to a charity.Just be careful what you part with--think it through.
Not meThings are holding you from a a forward movement.
What are YOUR thoughts?
The day I retired I started cleaning out the closets and the garage. I don't have any kids, but I don't want anyone else to have to do it. We cleaned out my mother's "stuff" when she moved from her home to assisted living, and when she passed it took us less than 8 hours to clean out her apartment. As you get older, you better get rid of most of your "stuff". It really is just "stuff." It will save your kids the effort of carrying your stuff to the dumpster. They really just want your cash; not your doll collection nor what you have in the china cabinet. Sorry but it's true! Life is a rip-off. You work, you buy and you pay. When you get old you just gotta give it away! Sad truth, pilgrim
We love our stuff too. Collections we don't do any more, never the less we still love our stuff.Nah, I like my stuff.![]()
I guess both you and I figured out that less is more. I have learned that I don't need all the "stuff" I thought I needed when I was younger. I am not saying that we should get rid of everything but I'm saying that we should cut back on what we do have. The day I retired I started cleaning out the closets and the garage. We figure when the time comes our son will have the yard sale to end all yard sales!I guess both you and I figured out that less is more.
